Microcrystalline wax is an amorphous solid wax, also known as purified wax, which is prepared by the decompression residue oil through the solvent de-asphalt, solvent dewaxing and degreasing, refining, molding and packaging and other processes. Its chemical composition in the n-Alkane content is less, the main component is with a normal or isomer alkyl side chain of the cyclic hydrocarbons, especially Naphthalic hydrocarbons, the greater the molecular weight, the higher the content of Iso-alkanes and long side-chain Cycloalkanes; microcrystalline waxes have the characteristics of small hardness, good flexibility, large elongation, and good gel strength of the oil, etc.
